Srinagar : The Sardar@150 Padayatra, organized by My Bharat Officials and NSS Volunteers, commemorated the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel at the University of Kashmir, attracting enthusiastic participation from students, faculty, and BJP karyakartas.
The event, held near Gandhi Bhawan, celebrated Patel’s legacy as the unifier of over 560 princely states into a sovereign nation. BJP Senior Leader and Rajya Sabha MP Gulam Ali Khatana addressed the gathering, highlighting Patel’s unmatched leadership, courage, and vision for a united India. He criticized the indecisive policies of the Congress leadership under Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, particularly regarding Jammu & Kashmir, suggesting that Patel’s approach could have led to a different outcome in the region’s integration. Khatana praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for realizing Patel’s dream of a fully integrated India through the abrogation of Article 370, which he claimed has restored equality and strengthened national unity.
