Srinagar : The Medical Unit of the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Srinagar, in collaboration with Paras Hospital Srinagar, hosted a Breast Cancer Awareness Program aimed at enhancing preventive healthcare and early detection among women.
The event featured a keynote lecture by Dr. Shabnam Bashir, Director of Surgical Oncology at Paras Hospital, who emphasized the significance of regular screening and self-examination for effective breast cancer management. Prof. Binod Kumar Kanaujia, Director NIT Srinagar, praised the initiative, highlighting the importance of community empowerment in prioritizing health and seeking timely medical advice. He assured continued efforts to address vital health concerns on campus.
