Srinagar | : The Jammu and Kashmir Employees Joint Consultative Committee (JKEJCC) has expressed its support for the Government’s decision to restore the Traditional Darbar Move, viewing it as a progressive initiative that enhances administrative coordination and ensures equitable representation for employees across different regions.
During a meeting in Srinagar chaired by Aijaz Ahmad Khan on Thursday the committee conveyed its appreciation to the Government for this significant step, which is expected to streamline governance at all levels. The JKEJCC also welcomed the opportunity for employees to organize conventions in Srinagar to voice their legitimate concerns, emphasizing the importance of ongoing dialogue to address these issues. The committee discussed several long-standing employee-related matters and urged the Government to take prompt action on key demands, including the release of pending GP Fund bills, gratuity, and State Life Insurance claims, the restoration of the Old Pension Scheme, regularization of daily wagers and temporary employees, and the release of leave salary for teaching staff. Additionally, they called for the restoration of SRO 43 to its original position. Chairman Aijaz Ahmad Khan highlighted the necessity for sustained communication between the Government and employee representatives to ensure timely resolution of grievances. He reaffirmed the JKEJCC’s commitment to protecting the rights, dignity, and welfare of employees across all departments, expressing hope that employees will continue to have the opportunity to raise their concerns in a fair and transparent manner. The meeting included various committee members who contributed to the discussions on these critical issues.
