Srinagar | : Police on Wednesday said that it has arrested four gamblers in Ganderbal and seized stake money from their possession.
According to a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar a police team from Police Station Ganderbal on Wednesday conducted a raid in Badurkund after receiving inputs about the gambling activities. During the operation, four individuals were apprehended and identified as Ghulam Mohd Mir, Mahraj Ud Din Khan, Irshad Ahmad Shoda, and Lateef Ahmad Shoda. Police in its statement said that ₹8590 used in stake money and playing cards were seized from the suspects following which a case under FIR No. 165/2025 wa registered under the relevant sections of the Gambling Act besides initiating further investigations.
