BJP MP Promises RD, Improved Connectivity, a Brighter Future

Kupwara | : Senior BJP leader and Rajya Sabha MP Gulam Ali Khatana criticized the National Conference (NC) government for its long-standing neglect of Kupwara and its border regions, which he described as underdeveloped and lacking basic facilities. He characterized the situation as a betrayal of the people’s trust, highlighting ongoing hardships related to poor infrastructure, inadequate healthcare, limited educational opportunities, and slow economic growth. Khatana emphasized the need for change, asserting that the BJP is committed to delivering justice, development, and equal opportunities for all residents.

During his visit to Dakbunglow, Kupwara, Khatana on Tuesday engaged with local BJP workers, leaders, and community representatives to understand their daily struggles. He listened to concerns about infrastructure deficiencies and conducted a review meeting to assess ongoing and stalled development projects. He stressed the urgency of implementing projects focused on road connectivity, healthcare, and education, which are vital for the region’s socio-economic growth. Khatana also met with local businessmen to discuss government initiatives aimed at boosting trade and empowering small-scale entrepreneurs. He highlighted GST reforms and measures under the Modi-led government designed to simplify business processes and strengthen the local economy. His goal is to create an environment where small businesses can thrive and contribute to Kupwara’s economic development. In addition to engaging with citizens and social activists, Khatana assured that their grievances regarding civic issues and infrastructure projects would be addressed. He emphasized the importance of listening to the people’s voices in democratic decision-making and promised to prioritize their needs. Khatana paid respects to bereaved families, including those of prominent local activists, expressing solidarity and support. He underscored Kupwara’s untapped potential in tourism, horticulture, and border trade, asserting that the district is full of possibilities that can uplift the lives of its residents. Concluding his visit, Khatana reaffirmed the BJP’s commitment to transparency, good governance, and inclusive development, stating that no region or community should feel forgotten. He pledged to ensure access to quality amenities, employment opportunities for youth, and connectivity for all corners of the district, marking a new chapter for Kupwara. The visit was supported by prominent BJP leaders, reflecting the party’s collective commitment to addressing the concerns of Kupwara’s citizens.
