Srinagar | : Police on Wednesday arrested three drug peddlers in Kulgam and also recovered Substantial quantity of contraband substances from their possession.
In a statement issued here on Wednesday Police said that a special police party led by Incharge Police Post Mirbazar, under the close supervision of Addl. SP NHW Qazigund Kulgam, was conducting routine patrolling at Baghi Sakloo, Mirbazar and during checking, a police party intercepted & apprehended three suspects identified as Zahid Bashir Bhat S/o Bashir Ahmad Bhat R/o BonporaNambal, Anantnag, Aidal Ahmad Wani S/o Mohd Iqbal Wani R/o KhandayporaKrangsoo, Anantnag & Razwan Ahmad Itoo S/o Nazir Ahmad Itoo R/o Hangalpahlo, Pahalgam, Anantnag and . Stating that on personal search, of the said accused 80 grams of charas and 7 kilograms of wet cannabis leaves were recovered from the possession of the said accused Police in its statement further said that a case under FIR No. 201/2025 under relevant sections of law was registered at Police Station Qazigund besides initiating further investigations . Police in its statement also appealed people to share inputs about drug peddling or any other crime of their concerned localities with the nearest police establishment or dial 112 for curbing the menace of drugs from society. Police in its statement also reiterated its commitment act tough against criminals as per law.
