Ganderbal | : The Central University of Kashmir (CUK) recently on Wednesday held a one-day Blood Donation Camp at its Tulmulla Campus.
Inaugurated by Vice-Chancellor Prof. A Ravinder Nath the initiative was organized by the Health Centre and Directorate of Students Welfare (DSW) in collaboration with the Blood Bank of Government Medical College (GMC), Srinagar, under the Seva Parv-2025 campaign. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, faculty, and administrative staff, resulting in the collection of over 61 pints of blood after thorough donor screening. Speaking on the occasion Vice Chancellor Prof. A Ravinder Nath praised the donors for their selfless contributions and emphasized the importance of voluntary blood donation in strengthening the healthcare system. He highlighted the role of youth in promoting humanitarian efforts and urged universities to encourage such initiatives that benefit society. Registrar Dr. Nisar Ahmad Mir echoed these sentiments, stating that the event transcended mere blood donation, aiming to instill a culture of empathy, service, and civic responsibility among students. He remarked that each donation symbolizes a promise of life and hope for those in need, inspiring young scholars to recognize their social responsibilities beyond academic pursuits.
