Over 3000 applications approved by the DLIC till date, with around 800 cases sanctioned by Banks in Srinagar

Srinagar | :  As a part of ongoing Sewa Parv campaign, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Srinagar, Akshay Labrooon Wednesday handed over 350 fresh sanction letters to aspiring entrepreneurs of the district under Mission YUVA initiative to support them in launching business ventures and promoting self-employment to generate jobs.

These sanction letters were distributed during the 4th Roz-e-Yuva which was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner Srinagar, Rifat Aftab Qureshi; Chief Planning Officer, Fayaz Ahmad Dar; General Manager DIC, Hamida Akhtar; Chief General Manager J&K Bank, Imtiyaz Ahmad Wani; Zonal Head J&K Bank, District Social Welfare Officer, LDM(Banks), Heads of various J&K Bank Business Units and other concerned, alongside a large number of Mission YUVA beneficiaries from different parts of the Srinagar district.

On the occasion, DC handed over 350 fresh sanction letters to aspiring entrepreneurs of Srinagar district under Mission YUVA initiative for whom proposals had been approved by the District Level Implementation Committee (DLIC) after detailed evaluation. These 350 approvals follow the distribution of 450 sanction letters earlier, bringing the total number of sanctioned cases to 800 in the district under Mission YUVA initiative. The proposals were approved by the District Level Implementation Committee (DLIC) after detailed evaluation.

Addressing the event, DC congratulated the Mission YUVA beneficiaries for embracing self-employment and economic empowerment, encouraging them to become job creators rather than job seekers. He also praised the efforts of all stakeholder departments and banks in fostering a vibrant entrepreneurial environment in Srinagar.

DC expressed his satisfaction at the enthusiastic participation of youth across the district in Mission YUVA and said that over 3000 applications have been approved by the District Level Implementation Committee (DLIC) till date, the highest across Jammu & Kashmir under Mission YUVA initiative.

He added that the youth’s response to Mission YUVA has been inspiring, with the initiative providing timely credit and essential support to help turn entrepreneurial ideas into reality. He encouraged aspiring entrepreneurs to apply through the Mission YUVA website to learn about the government’s benefits, including credit and interest subvention.

Senior officers from Jammu & Kashmir Bank, speaking at the event, affirmed their commitment to empowering young entrepreneurs by providing necessary credit and support. They emphasized close coordination with the district administration to ensure a smooth process and proper guidance at every stage, enabling youth to build sustainable livelihoods.
