Srinagar | : Jammu & Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, will inaugurate a national seminar titled “Bhartiya Bhashaon Mein Ekaatmata” on September 19, 2025, at the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Srinagar, as part of the Hindi Pakhwada celebrations. The seminar is organized by the Rajbhasha Cell of NIT Srinagar in collaboration with the Bhartiya Bhasha Samiti and other academic institutions, aiming to emphasize the importance of Indian languages in promoting unity and cultural integration.

The event will feature prominent guests, including Atul Bhai Kothari, National Secretary of Shiksha Sanskriti Utthan Nyas, and various vice chancellors from regional universities. The seminar is funded by the Bharatiya Bhasha Samiti and will include keynote addresses, scholarly lectures, and panel discussions focusing on the interconnectedness of Indian languages. Discussions will explore themes such as unity in languages, skill development, and the emotional resonance of diverse languages. Director of NIT Srinagar, Prof. Binod Kumar Kanaujia, highlighted the significance of the seminar in preserving linguistic heritage and fostering national integration. He noted that the event would provide a platform for meaningful dialogue on harmonizing language diversity. Registrar Prof. Atikur Rehman emphasized the institute’s commitment to showcasing India’s linguistic richness and inspiring the younger generation to appreciate linguistic plurality. The seminar aligns with the ongoing Hindi Pakhwada, which celebrates Hindi’s adoption as the official language in 1949, and includes various activities to promote Hindi in official and everyday communication. Additionally, the seminar will address the role of the Indian Language Committee, established to support the development of Indian languages under the National Education Policy 2020.
