4 tippers involved in illegal transportation of minerals seized in Awantipora: Police

Srinagar : Police on Saturday said that it has seized vehicles involved in illegal excavation and transportation of minerals.
In a statement issued here on Saturday Police said that acting tough against the unlawfuls involved in illegal extraction and transportation of minerals, a police party of Police Station Awantipora headed by SHO Police Station Awantipora under the supervision of SDPO Awantipora seized four tippers bearing registration numbers JK05A-6634, JK03B-5727, JK03B-5628, JK01AG-5872.
Stating that a case vide FIR number 192/2025 under relevant sections of law was registered at Police Station Awantipora besides initiating further investigations Police in the concluding para of its above quoted statement appealed people to extend their cooperation by sharing any information regarding such unlawful activities in their areas, assuring therein complete confidentiality of the informants and reiterateed its resolve to take strict legal action against those indulging in illegal mining
