Srinagar Chairperson Jammu & Kashmir Waqf Board, Dr. Syed Darakhshan Andrabi on Friday extended Eid-e-Milad greetings, emphasizing the significance of the day as a blessing for humanity and expressing hope that the teachings of the Prophet (SAW) continue to guide lives.
The Waqf Chairperson visited Dargah Hazratbal, where she led the carpet laying ceremony in the newly inaugurated sanctum area, part of a broader interior development project. During her visit to Jinab Sahib Soura, Dr. Andrabi assessed ongoing construction works at the shrine, accompanied by an engineering team that provided updates on project status. She directed an increase in work shifts to expedite project completion ahead of schedule. In a media interaction, Dr. Andrabi highlighted the Waqf Board’s commitment to development despite facing challenges from detractors. She affirmed that projects across Jammu & Kashmir are progressing without compromising on quality and transparency, with positive public feedback on the reconstruction and beautification of dargahs. Dr. Andrabi noted that a focus on positivity and decisive action has fostered a better working environment within the Waqf Board, while acknowledging ongoing criticism from some quarters.
