Srinagar : Under the Civic Action Programme (CAP), the J&K Police initiated a Bharat Darshan Tour for 83 students from District Budgam, aimed at enhancing their cultural awareness and personal development.
The tour was officially launched by SSP Budgam Nikhil Borkar at the District Police Lines Budgam, with the presence of senior police officials, including Addl. SP Budgam Sajjad Bukhari. SSP Budgam encouraged the students to seize this opportunity to expand their understanding of India’s cultural diversity and to embrace values such as unity, peace, and brotherhood. The tour is designed to provide participants with insights into the country’s history, heritage, and modern institutions, ultimately fostering confidence and personality growth. The fully sponsored tour includes air travel, accommodation, meals, guided visits, and air-conditioned transport. Students will explore significant locations in New Delhi and Chennai, including historical monuments, educational institutions, tourist attractions, and industrial sites. Each participant received a tour kit containing a tracksuit, shoes, a cap, and a carry bag. Both parents and students expressed their appreciation to the J&K Police for this initiative, recognizing its positive impact on channeling youth energy through educational and cultural experiences, as well as enhancing career awareness.
