Srinagar : Police on Wednesday successfully conducted a rescue operation in the Aang Anzwalla area of Anantnag, where approximately 25 nomadic families were stranded due to a sudden rise in the water level of the Lidder Nalla.
Upon receiving reports of the situation, a rescue team led by the District Officer of the General Bus Stand was promptly dispatched to the site. Despite challenging weather conditions, police personnel, along with local administration and volunteers, managed to evacuate all affected individuals safely and relocate them to safer areas. The rescued families received immediate relief, which included food, shelter, and medical assistance. Authorities are closely monitoring the situation and are prepared to provide further support as needed.
