Srinagar : Police in Kulgam, in collaboration with the District Administration, have initiated a comprehensive response mechanism aimed at ensuring the safety, mobility, and well-being of residents amid heavy rainfall. Under the supervision of the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Kulgam, police teams have been deployed throughout the district to address rain-related challenges, particularly focusing on the evacuation of stranded civilians in low-lying and waterlogged areas, while coordinating efforts with civil departments. The police have advised the public to refrain from unnecessary travel during heavy rainfall and to report incidents of water logging, fallen trees, or electrical hazards to the nearest police station, the Police Control Room, or by dialing 112. In a statement issued here on Thursday the Police reaffirmed it’s commitment to serve citizens with dedication during adverse weather conditions and pledge to provide all possible assistance to ensure the safety of the community.
