Ganderbal : The Central University of Kashmir (CUKashmir) has initiated a series of capacity-building training sessions for its teaching and administrative staff as part of the Rashtriya Karmayogi–Large Scale Jan Seva Programme (RK-LSJSP), an initiative by the Capacity Building Commission (CBC) of the Government of India. These sessions, which will be conducted in seven batches until September 8, 2025, aim to improve institutional efficiency, professional competence, and citizen-centric service delivery.
Addressing the inaugural session, Prof. Shahid Rasool, Dean of Academic Affairs and I/c Registrar, highlighted the importance of capacity building in achieving the university’s goals of academic excellence and effective governance. He emphasized the critical role of both teaching and administrative staff in shaping a developed India by 2047, stating that educators are responsible for nurturing future leaders and innovators, while administrative personnel enhance the university’s operations through effective management. Prof. Rasool noted that the collective efforts of the university staff promote values such as integrity, inclusivity, and self-reliance, aligning with the vision of Viksit Bharat. He acknowledged the initiative as a key strategy proposed by Vice-Chancellor Prof. A Ravinder Nath to position CUKashmir as a future-ready institution that meets national priorities. The training sessions are being led by Dr. Javid Ahmad Wani and Mr. Abdul Rashid Bhat, both Deputy Registrars and Master Trainers appointed by the Capacity Building Commission. They aim to integrate efficiency, empathy, and innovation into the university’s administrative and academic processes, thereby translating the vision of transparent and accountable governance into actionable practices within the university ecosystem.
