“Op Sindoor A Grand Success, Pakistani C&C Centers, Radars, Air Defenses Hit During Operation”
“Game-Changing S-400, Strategic Leadership Paved Way for “Op Sindoor” Triumph

New Delhi: In a major revelation, Indian Air Force (IAF) Chief Air Chief Marshal Amar Preet Singh on Saturday said that five Pakistani fighter jets and one large military aircraft. The strikes, which were a direct response to a terror attack in Pahalgam, also targeted critical military infrastructure deep inside Pakistan.
Speaking at the 16th Air Chief Marshal LM Katre Memorial Lecture in Bengaluru, the IAF Chief detailed the strategic blows delivered by India. He said the coordinated strikes hit Pakistani radars, command centers, and airbases, significantly disrupting Pakistan’s ability to coordinate and respond. This operation was a direct response aimed at weakening terrorist networks and their support systems,” Air Chief Marshal Singh said. He explained that a key takeaway from the operation was the definitive proof of its success, which addressed the challenges faced during the 2019 Balakot airstrikes. “In Balakot, we could not get anything from inside, and it became a big issue trying to tell our own people what we had achieved. This time, we were able to take care of that ghost of Balakot and tell the world what we achieved.”
The IAF Chief said that Operation Sindoor, launched on May 7 following the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack that killed 26 civilians, achieved significant military objectives. The destruction included Five Pakistani fighter jets and one large aircraft. The larger aircraft, described as likely ELINT (Electronic Intelligence) or Airborne Early Warning and Control (AEW&C) aircraft, was destroyed from a distance of about 300 kilometers. Singh called this the “longest-range surface-to-air engagement on record.”
