Srinagar: A police constable from Central Kashmir’s Budgam district died of cardiac arrest on Wednesday during a transformer blast incident near Police Station Budgam.
Officials said that the cop suffered a sudden cardiac arrest. He was immediately rushed to District Hospital Budgam, where doctors declared him dead.
The deceased has been identified as Constable Altaf Ahmad, a resident of Wadipora Chadoora. He was posted at PS Budgam at the time of the incident.
The body was later shifted for legal and medical formalities before being handed over to the family for last rites.
