Awantipora : The Directorate of IT & Support Services (DIT&SS) at the Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST) in Kashmir has initiated a Two-Day Audio-Visual Technical Workshop aimed at enhancing the technical skills of the university’s staff in modern audio-visual systems, live broadcasting, and real-time troubleshooting.
The workshop features sessions led by experienced professionals from Doordarshan Kendra Srinagar, including A.K. Srivastava and Asif N. Khan, who provide practical insights into studio operations and live production workflows. The inaugural session was attended by Registrar Prof. Ab Wahid Makhdoomi, who highlighted the significance of technical upskilling in adapting to the demands of digital learning and event broadcasting. The training program incorporates live demonstrations, simulation-based role-plays, and interactive modules designed to empower support staff in managing complex AV infrastructure effectively. Dr. Javaid Iqbal, Director of DIT&SS, emphasized that this workshop is part of ongoing efforts to improve the operational readiness and technical competence of the university’s support teams, ultimately enhancing both academic and administrative functions.
