Key developments since the last meeting included approvals from AICTE and NCTE for new programs, a successful mega job fair, and the completion of the syllabus for the 7th and 8th semesters of the UG 4th year program. The Syndicate ratified actions taken by the Vice Chancellor, including revised reservation rules for UG and PG admissions and a new coding system for evaluating end semester examination answer sheets. A one-time exemption was granted to students with a credit shortage of less than 50%, allowing them to enter the 5th semester of various programs. The meeting also discussed the adoption of the NET as the entrance test for Ph.D. admissions and approved new programs such as MPA, PG Diploma, and courses in Dogri translation and M.Sc. Geography. The recognition of eligible college faculty as Ph.D. supervisors and collaboration with other institutions for the implementation of the fourth year of the FYUGP in line with NEP 2020 were also significant outcomes. The effective implementation of NEP 2020 was emphasized, particularly regarding research opportunities in the 4th year Honours Degree and the approval of dual degree programs starting in the 2025–26 academic session. Additionally, the Syndicate approved mercy chances for students from the 2017, 2018, and 2019 batches and explored new academic programs, including M.Sc.
