Says “Historic Amarnath Yatra is the symbol of harmony in Kashmir”
Baltal : Dr. Syed Darakhshan Andrabi, Chairperson J&K Waqf Board and Minister of State, visited the Baltal Base Camp to assess the arrangements for the Amarnath Yatra.
During her visit, she welcomed the first group of pilgrims, interacting with them and wishing them a successful pilgrimage. She inaugurated the Bahandara of Mahadev Seva Samiti, which will provide meals to the yatris throughout the yatra period. Dr. Andrabi engaged with service providers and departmental representatives to discuss the preparedness for the yatra. In her media statements, she emphasized the yatra’s significance as a representation of spirituality and cultural excellence, highlighting its role in promoting harmony and unity between Hindus and Muslims in Kashmir. She noted that the Shri Amarnath Ji Shrine Board, in collaboration with government departments and local communities, has ensured comprehensive arrangements for the yatra, which attracts participants from across India, exemplifying the spirit of ‘Ek Bharat, Shreshth Bharat’.
