Srinagar : Police in Handwara on Monday held a farewell ceremony for Sub-Inspector Bashir Ahmad, who retired after a distinguished career in the Jammu and Kashmir Police.
The event took place at the District Police Lines in Handwara and was attended by several senior officials, including the Additional Superintendent of Police, Fayaz Ahmad Shah, along with other police colleagues and staff. During the ceremony, the Additional SP recognized SI Bashir Ahmad’s significant contributions to the police force, emphasizing his dedication, professional integrity, and impact on grassroots policing. He noted the respect Ahmad garnered from both his peers and the community. In his address, SI Bashir Ahmad expressed heartfelt gratitude towards the department and his colleagues for their support throughout his service. As a gesture of appreciation, senior officials presented mementos and gifts to the retiring officer.
