Srinagar: District Level Drug Disposal Committee Baramulla on Wednesday destroyed huge quantity of seized drugs and psychotropic substances under section 52A of NDPS Act.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar Police said that the seized contraband substances of 33 cases of Police Station Uri, Kreeri, Sheeri, Baramulla, Boniyar and Pattan were destroyed, adding therein that the seized substances include 1.270 Kgs of Heroin, 1.703 kg of Charas, 13 Kgs of Poppy Straw, 20.121 Kgs of Ganja, Alprazolam 0.5 mg 340 tabs, SpasmoProxyvon plus 68 caps, Coorex 54 Bottles, Corn Cob 112 gms, Tuskil-T Codeine 05 bottles and Spasmed 10 Strip 240 Cap worth crores which were destroyed at Kashmir Health Care System, IGC Lassipora Pulwama in presence of constituted committee headed by DySP DAR DPL Baramulla, Dy SP ANTF Kashmir, Dy SP CID CI Anantnag, Executive 1st Class Magistrate Fatehgarh, Reader to SSP Baramulla, Field Inspector of Pollution Control board, IC Godown and other Police officers of the District.
