Srinagar : Senior Superintendent of Police Handwara Mushtaq Ahmad Choudhary convened a public interaction meeting at Mankal Qalamabad to engage with local residents and address community concerns. The session witnessed the presence of Additional SP Handwara Fayaz Hussain Shah, DySP PC Hqr Handwara, DySP (Prob), SHO Police Station Qalamabad, and other senior police officers.
The gathering was attended by community leaders, social activists, religious heads, traders, and other prominent citizens from the area and during the interaction, participants voiced various local issues and grievances before the visiting officials. SSP Mushtaq Ahmad Choudhary attentively listened to the concerns raised and assured the participants that police-related matters would be addressed on priority basis. He further stated that grievances concerning civil administration would be referred to the respective departments for timely redressal. In his address, the SSP stressed the importance of community policing as a vital tool for strengthening the trust between the police and the public. He also called for unified efforts to combat drug abuse and other social evils, urging citizens to actively participate in a mission-driven campaign to eradicate the drug menace from society.
