2-day prog on “e-tools” for admn staff begins at CUK

Ganderbal : Rajbhasha Cell, Central University of Kashmir, (CUK) kick-started a two-day technical training programme on “E-Tools (Kanthasth, Inscript Keyboard, Microsoft)” for the administrative staff at Green Campus, here Thursday.
Addressing the participants, Registrar, Prof. M Afzal Zargar said, the tools Kanthasth, Inscript Keyboard, and Microsoft applications not only streamline communication and documentation, but also align with the broader vision of Digital India. “These tools play a crucial role in promoting Hindi as an official language in digital formats. They also simplify working in Hindi in the offices thus helping the employees to complete their assignments and official work in Hindi language,” Prof. M Afzal Zargar said. He asked the participants to interact with the expert and clarify the doubts with regard to the use of the tools.
Speaking on the occasion, Assistant Director, Central Hindi Directorate, Ministry of Home Affairs, Ms. Vineta Tiwari, said, the key benefits of Kanthasth is its accessibility and user-friendly interface, which empowers even those with limited typing experience to prepare official documents in Hindi. “This is especially vital for government employees, clerical staff, and university personnel where bilingual communication is often mandatory,” she further said.
Finance Officer, Dr Arif Khan in his address, said, the tools like Kanthasth, Inscript Keyboard, and Microsoft Office equip the staff with the capabilities to meet modern administrative challenges head-on, enhancing not just efficiency but also inclusivity in the digital domain.
In her welcome address, Hindi Adhikari, Dr. Sakina Akhter, said, the training is aimed at equipping the University’s administrative staff with enhanced digital literacy and practical know-how of vital electronic tools used in official communication and documentation. She further elaborated about the role played by the Rajbhasha Cell in promotion of Hindi in the varsity
