Srinagar : Police in Budgam on Monday arrested a drug peddler and also recovered contraband substance from his possession.
In a statement issued from zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar Police said that a Police party of Police Station Chadoora at a checkpoint near Higher Secondary School Zohama, intercepted a suspect identified as Sajad Muzaffar Ahmad Dar S/o Ghulam Mohammad Dar R/o Surasyar Chadoora and during search recovered Charas sticks weighing about 270 grams from the possession of the said accused who was subsequently arrested and a case under FIR No.72/2025 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Chadoora besides initiating further investigation.
In the concluding para of its above quoted statement police appealed people to cooperate with it in curbing the menace of drugs , reiterating therein its commitment to act tough against the criminals as per law.
