Srinagar : In an effort to enhance public outreach and address community concerns, Police in Budgam under the supervision of SSP Budgam Nikhil Borkar on Friday organized ‘Thana Diwas’ at Police Stations Budgam, Magam, Charar-I-Sharief, Police Posts Hardpanzoo, Mouchwa and Waterhail.
The events were chaired by the respective jurisdictional Police officers and attended by citizens, community representatives, members of trade federations, Auqaf committees and other stakeholders of these areas. Police officers and officials of concerned units were also present.
During the meetings, participants raised various public concerns and officers assured them that genuine grievances related to police would be addressed on priority.
Addressing the gatherings, police officers emphasized that ‘Thana Diwas’ aims to improve efficiency, transparency and accountability in policing at the grassroots level while fostering public trust. Police on this occasion appealed peple to cooperate with it in maintaining law and order and ensuring a crime-free environment in their areas.
