DC Kupwara flags of awareness tour of fish farmers

Kupwara: Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Ayushi Sudan on Monday flagged off a one-day inter-district training and awareness tour of fish farmers here at D.C Office Kupwara.
Assistant Director Fisheries Kupwara, Dr. Salman Rauoof Chalkoo was present on the occasion.
The awareness tour sponsored by Agriculture Training and Management Agency (ATMA) aims to enhance practical knowledge and promote sustainable aquaculture practices in the district.
Around 60 Fish farmers on the tour will visit to different fish farms of the district to learn the innovative and scientific techniques adopted by the farms both in government and private sector.
The program also aimed at the mobilization of farmers and fishermen for formation and organization of fishermen cooperatives through integrated workmanship for the overall development of the fisheries sector in district Kupwara.
