Dr. Naseer Shah among three Hakeems honored for promoting Unani medicine in Kashmir

Srinagar: Dr. Hakeem Naseer Ahmad Shah, a prominent Unani practitioner and Director of Unani and Panchakarma Hospitals in Kashmir among three Hakeems were recognized by Rex Remedies for their contributions to the promotion of Unani medicine in the Valley.
At a special event organized by the Delhi-based company at SKICC Srinagar, Dr. Naseer received the Hakeem Nazeef Usmani Award, which included a trophy, a shawl, a certificate of appreciation, and a cheque of Rs 21,000.
Rex Remedies, a well-established Unani medicine manufacturer based in Delhi, organized a special event at SKICC Srinagar to promote the Unani system of medicine in Kashmir.
As part of the program, the company recognized and appreciated three prominent Hakeems from the valley for their contributions to the field.
Dr. Hakeem Naseer Ahmad Shah, who is Director and Founder of Unani and Panchakarma Hospitals in Kashmir, was honored with the prestigious Hakeem Nazeef Usmani Award.
 Rex Remedies presented him with a trophy, a shawl, a certificate of appreciation, and a cheque of Rs 21,000.
Dr. Shah, whose hospital operates seven branches across different districts of Kashmir, has been instrumental in propagating Unani medicine through his bi-weekly radio talks on All India Radio Srinagar for the past two decades.
Similar awards were conferred upon Dr. Farooq Ahmad Dar, who runs a Unani hospital in Tangpora Batamaloo, and Hakeem Yaqoob Sb, a renowned Unani practitioner in Srinagar, for their outstanding efforts in promoting traditional medicine.
The initiative by Rex Remedies was aimed to further strengthen awareness and acceptance of Unani medicine in Kashmir, acknowledging the role of traditional healers in preserving and advancing this ancient system of healing.
