Srinagar : In its ongoing process to address the grievances of general public and to identify issues and collaboratively develop solutions that improve police community relation, improve public safety by strengthening trust, police in Kulgam facilitated PCPG meeting at village Samnoo Nehama, DH Pora.
The meeting was chaired by DySP PC Manzgam Rohit Gupta and was attended by respectables of Nehama, Adijan, Samnoo, and other adjacent areas. Speaking on the occasion, participants appreciated the process of organising such events by police department in which an opportunity is being provided to highlight the prevailing issues of the society like drug abuse, domestic violence, speedy justice etc and seeks their redressal for the betterment of all. The officer present at the meeting gave patient hearing to their issues and assured them that their issues which are pertaining to other departments will be taken up immediately with the concerned officers for appropriate action besides issues related to Police will be resolved on priority.
Addressing the participants, chairing officer urged upon in strengthening the Police public relations and also cooperate in eradicating all types of crime from the society so that a peaceful and crime free atmosphere is created in these areas. The officer urged people to provide information to police about smuggling of drugs and other illegal activities if any noticed for initiating appropriate action against the offenders.
