Srinagar : Police on Sunday said that in collaboration with the Geology & Mining Department a tractor involved in the unlawful extraction of minerals here in Sopore was seized and the driver of the tractor was arrested in the operation.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar Police said that a team led by SHO Police Station Dangiwacha carried out the action and identified the arrested driver as Mohammad Iqbal Ganie of Machanpora Fidarpora Rafiabad, adding therein that the action under law has been taken under the relevant sections of law at Police Station Dangiwacha.
