ADDC Rajouri reviews preparations for Republic Day 2025

Rajouri: Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Rajouri, Raj Kumar Thapa on Saturday chaired a review meeting to discuss the preparations for the upcoming Republic Day 2025 celebrations at the Conference Hall of the DC Office, Rajouri.
During the meeting, the ADDC issued directions to the concerned departments to ensure the seamless organization of the event.
The ADDC asked the Traffic Department to prepare a comprehensive plan for managing vehicular movement and parking near the venue to avoid congestion.
He directed the concerned to finalize the seating arrangements for VVIPs and other dignitaries, ensuring security and comfort. He instructed to ensure timely printing and distribution of invitation cards to all concerned.
The PHE and PDD departments were tasked with ensuring uninterrupted water and power supply at the venue besides the adequate arrangement for gensets were also directed to be made.
The Information Department was instructed to install a Public Address System for smooth conduct of the event.
The Health Department was directed to deploy ambulances and set up a medicine stall at the venue to address any medical emergency. Departments were instructed to set up stalls to showcase their achievements and initiatives.
The Chief Education Officer was directed to finalize the list of participating schools and ensure their active involvement in cultural programs and the parade. The PWD was directed to arrange the illumination of government buildings to add to the festive atmosphere.
The ADDC directed the PWD to complete the levelling of the ground to ensure smooth conduct of the event, particularly for the parade and other performances.
The ADDC stressed the importance of inter-departmental coordination and timely completion of all assignments. He assured that Republic Day 2025 would be celebrated with enthusiasm, reflecting the spirit of patriotism and unity.
The meeting was attended by Assistant Commissioner Revenue (ACR) Mohammad Jahangir Khan, Chief Planning Officer (CPO) Maqsood Ahmed, Assistant Commissioner Panchayat (ACP) Sheraz Ahmed, District Mineral Officer (DMO) Mohd Sayeed, Chief Education Officer (CEO) Bishamber Dass, District Statistics and Evaluation Officer (DSEO) Sandeep Sharma, District Social Welfare Officer (DSWO) Abdul Raheem, Executive Engineers of PWD and PHE, AD FCS&CA Rohit Kumar and other district and sectoral officers.
