Mega Public Outreach Prog held at Khanetar-Poonch, MLA Surankote, DDC listen to Public Grievances

Poonch: Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) Surankote, Choudhary Mohammad Akram and District Development Commissioner Vikas Kundal on Wednesday conducted an extensive tour of Tanda Khanetar in Poonch and attended a mega Public Outreach Programme.
The outreach program aimed to redress and resolve public Grievances and improve service delivery in District Poonch.
The event witnessed an overwhelming turnout of enthusiastic locals, availing the opportunity to voice their demands and seek immediate redressal to their proble
Local raised a wide range of issues seeking completion of lift Scheme from Tanta to Mohalla Pallani, Completion of High school Building at Kalsaan, maintenance of the roads connecting adjoining areas, meeting shortage of staff in Government High School Kalsaan, Building completion of Middle School Duprian and other issues pertaining to infrastructure, education, health, water supply, Electricity, .
MLA Surankote Choudhary Mohammad Akram emphasized the government’s commitment towards making the public administration more transparent, accountable and responsive to the needs of the people.
“The government is fully aware of the challenges faced by the people in rural areas and this camp is an opportunity for us to listen to their issues at their doorsteps and also take immediate actions to resolve the same” the MLA said. He assured the gathering that their demands would be met with tangible actions, resulting in visible improvements and benefits for the community.
MLA asked PDD (RDDS) to prioritize execution of work in snow prone areas so as to ensure power supply to citizens during the ongoing winter season.
The DDC Vikas Kundal assured that all demands and issues will be addressed in a time bound manner and ongoing projects will be completed well in time. He further instructed district officers to adopt an efficient and responsive mechanism for addressing public grievances. He called upon them to work with dedication and ensure timely redressal of the issues brought to their notice.
The DDC also urged the tribal community to get maximum benefits under Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan, the centrally sponsored flagship scheme launched by the Prime Minister to improve their living conditions. The DC highlighted the central government’s efforts towards development of these communities and the initiatives aimed at enhancing infrastructure, education, and healthcare services in tribal regions.
The DDC urged citizens to complete the e-KYC process for their ration cards to facilitate the efficient distribution of essential supplies.
During the event, the DDC also emphasized the critical role of renewable energy, urging all citizens of Poonch to embrace solar technology under PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana -a government scheme that aims to provide free electricity to households all over India. Under the said scheme, households will be provided with a subsidy to install solar panels on their roofs.
The event was attended by Ex-Sarpanches, CMO, CEO, AD, DSWO, POICDS, DIO, SDM Skt., Tehsildar, Xen JPDCL, PDD, PWD, ACD, various concerned officials/officers, public representatives and a large gathering of the general public.
