J&K BOPEE organises 3rd one-day awareness camp at Kulgam

Kulgam : The Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (BOPEE) in collaboration with District Administration Kulgam on Saturday organised a third awareness camp in Boys Higher Secondary School Kulgam.
The students from Boys HSS Kulgam and Girls HSS Kulgam attended the programme.
Dr Bashir Ahmad Lone, Member J&K BOPEE appraised the students about the examination cum counseling schedule for admission to various professional courses in J&K for the session 2025-26.
He also impressed upon them to choose career options early from amongst the courses available in Govt and Private Institutions in the Jammu and Kashmir for which examination as well as counseling are conducted by JK BOPEE.
The details of the number of courses and seats available in Govt. and Private Institutions were given to the participating students.
The students were also informed about the abundant opportunities of employment in Govt and Private sector for which they will become eligible after completing these technical courses, particularly in education, health and engineering sectors.
The objective of this awareness camp was also to address the issue of low admissions in some professional courses during the year 2024- 25 and to inform the students in advance about the schedule of issuance of Notifications for inviting applications, tentative schedule of examinations, and counseling schedules.
Pamphlets indicating the details of professional courses eligibility criteria, admission processes and tentative schedule of examinations and counseling were distributed among the students which were followed by an interactive and question/ answer session.
The camp highlighted the advantages of studying in local colleges, including lower fees, a familiar environment, and better job opportunities.
It also emphasized the importance of filling up vacant seats to avoid wastage of resources.
Chief Education officer Kulgam while addressing the students advised them to go through the details of these technical courses and work hard to qualify these competitive examinations with high scores so that they can get selected in a course of their choice for betterment of their future and service to the society.
The outreach of JKBOPEE at the doorstep of students was appreciated and received well by the targeted audience. With this, JKBOPEE concluded the awareness campaign in Kulgam District.
