Srinagar: Police on Friday said that it has attached a property (Single-storied Residential house) under Section 25 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967 (UAPA) in Kulgam. Police also said that the said property is registered in the name of Mushtaq Ahmad Bhat S/o Mohammad Akbar Bhat R/o Chenigam, Frisal spans 10 Marlas (Survey No. 293 Min).
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar Police said that the attachment is linked to case FIR No. 53/2024 of Police Station Yaripora and was executed in the presence of a duly constituted Police team and the Executive Magistrate, ensuring full compliance with legal protocols.
Stating that the above mentioned property is connected to providing shelter to the four militants neutralized in the aforementioned residential house on 6th July this year Police in the concluding para of its above quoted statement said that this action represents a significant milestone in the ongoing investigation into unlawful and subversive activities in the district. Police on this occasion also reiterated its firm commitment to neutralize threats to national security and maintain peace and order.
