DPO Rajouri inaugurates 3-Days Training Progam on ‘Poshan Bhi Padhai Bhi’

Rajouri : A three-day training programme under the theme ‘Poshan Bhi Padhai Bhi’ was inaugurated on Thursday by District Programme Officer, Poshan Rajouri, Fareed Ahmed Kohli at Sunderbani in Rajouri district.
The initiative aims to equip Anganwadi Workers (AWWs) with the skills required to effectively implement the Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) curriculum in Anganwadi Centres (AWCs).
During the event, the District Programme Officer also launched two handbooks, Navchetna and Aadharshila, designed as comprehensive guides for AWWs. These handbooks focus on early stimulation and early learning, providing a structured framework for enhancing the cognitive and developmental growth of children.
Speaking on the occasion, the DPO emphasized the importance of integrating nutrition with education for holistic child development.
He stated that the ECCE curriculum under Poshan Bhi Padhai Bhi is a step forward in ensuring a strong foundation for children. This training will empower our Anganwadi Workers to create an engaging and stimulating environment for young learners, he added.
The programme witnessed active participation, with sessions focusing on innovative teaching methods, child-centered approaches, and practical strategies for implementing the ECCE curriculum in rural settings.
The training programme will continue over the next two days, with interactive sessions and practical demonstrations aimed at enhancing the skills and confidence of the AWWs.
Hanan Shawl, Child Development Project Officer (CDPO) Kalakote, and Daleep Kumar, CDPO Sunderbani, also participated in the programme, alongside Supervisors Veena Rani, Suresh Kumar, Vaishno Devi, Nirmal Kumari, Pitamber Kumari, and numerous Anganwadi Workers.
