Kulgam Powe: In a decisive move against illegal electricity usage, the Power Development Department (PDD) in Kulgam conducted extensive inspections in areas under its jurisdiction on Saturday. The operation targeted unauthorized electricity consumption and led to the seizure of banned crude devices.
The inspection team uncovered several cases of power theft during the drive and emphasized that violators would face strict penalties, including heavy fines.
A PDD spokesperson highlighted the department’s commitment to curbing power theft and ensuring equitable electricity distribution. “Such inspections are part of a broader initiative to promote responsible electricity usage and maintain a fair power supply across the region,” the official stated.
