Tangmarg (B’la) |Nov, 11: In a landmark initiative to bring governance directly to the people, MLA Gulmarg, Farooq Ahmad Shah ( IAS Retd.), held comprehensive meetings with grassroots officials, including Lambardars and Chowkidars, on Monday. The outreach effort underscores Shah’s commitment to transparency, accessibility, and proactive governance.
During the meetings, which took place in Kunzer, Shah convened with revenue officials, field staff from the Public Health Engineering (PHE) and Power Development Departments (PDD), and other key stakeholders. The discussions aimed at ensuring that developmental projects reach every corner of the constituency and that public service remains uninterrupted, especially as winter approaches. Shah emphasized the critical need to address public grievances efficiently and to reinforce basic infrastructure to guarantee essential supplies throughout the winter months. He urged all officials to adopt a proactive approach, ensuring the public does not face undue hardship. This meeting highlighted his dedication to removing bureaucratic bottlenecks and enhancing public welfare. To further strengthen public access to administration, Shah inaugurated two grievance offices, named “Farayad”, in Tangmarg and Kunzer. These offices shall remain open from 10 AM to 5 PM and provide residents an opportunity to register their grievances and concerns in person. Additionally, the offices will remain accessible 24/7 via phone calls, emails, and social media, ensuring that public grievances are received, tracked, and addressed with urgency. Shah pledged that all registered issues would be addressed promptly and monitored at multiple administrative levels, providing feedback to the concerned citizens at every stage. This initiative reflects Shah’s unwavering dedication to a transparent and accountable governance model. By bringing the administration to the people’s doorsteps, he aims to bridge the gap between the government and its citizens, addressing local concerns swiftly and significantly improving the quality of life in his constituency.
