1. CM Omar Abdullah’s Commitment to J&K’s Future: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, on the final day of the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly session, emphasized his government’s focus on the needs and aspirations of the people. Reflecting on the past six and a half years since his last speech in the House, he highlighted the changes in the region and the challenges ahead. The Assembly adjourned sine die after passing the Motion of Thanks to Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha’s address.
2. J&K Assembly Adjourned Sine Die, Motion of Thanks Passed: The Jammu and Kashmir Assembly was adjourned sine die on Friday after successfully passing the Motion of Thanks in response to Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha’s address. This session, which spanned five days, was the first since the state’s bifurcation into Union Territories and the revocation of its special status on August 5, 2019. The proceedings were marred by chaotic scenes starting from Wednesday, which disrupted the House’s functioning.
3. PM Modi Slams Congress-Led INDIA Bloc Over Art 370, Urges Unity: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday accused the Congress-led INDIA bloc of attempting to remove the Constitution from Jammu and Kashmir and emphasized that no power could restore Article 370.
