Jammu : Union Minister, Dr Jitendra Singh on Thursday said that Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is exploring means to take legal action against Congress and National Conference (NC) for treason and sedition.
Addressing a press conference, Dr Jitendra Singh said that there is a nexus between Pakistan and the so called mainstream parties of J&K namely NC, PDP and Congress, which draw inspiration from Islamabad (Pakistan) and has been exposed after the statement of Pak Defence Minister, Khawaja Asif over its partnership with Kashmir based parties to restore Article 370.
Dr Singh said, “Defence Minister of Pakistan, Khawaja Asif had stated that Pakistan is in league with Congress and its allies (NC and PDP), and adding that this promotes separatism or soft separatism and also talking of back Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir, indicates the deep conspiracy.”
He further said that Congress and its allies need to apologies and explain nation about their intentions.
“I think Congress and its allies, National Conference and PDP need to be made accountable and they not only owes an public explanation to the public of this country, but BJP also find out means to acting against them under the rule of law, as this amounts to treason and sedition,” he said.
He further added that BJP has been consistently saying that NC, Cong and PDP work on the directions of Pakistan and after such a statement, the party’s stand is vindicated.
“Our stand has now been vindicated after Pakistan’s Defence Minister’s statement,” he said, adding, “if we see the chorology of events, we find that boycott calls in previous elections used to come from Pakistan and these parties used to form government with just 5% to 8% turnout”.
The boycott calls during elections and victory of NC, Cong and PDP leaders with mere 8% voting also clearly indicates that the boycott calls were also a part of deep rotted nexus between Pakistan and these so called mainstream parties, he said.
He said that NC is responsible for militancy and unrest in Kashmir. “NC-Cong rigged 87 elections after which unrest and militancy started in Kashmir,” he said, adding, “NC leaders including Farooq Abdullah used to go to Pak and meet Amanullah and other leaders to devise strategy for taking forward the Azadi movement”.
He said that these parties again want to push J&K back into the era of unrest and militancy but BJP will not let this to happen. NC, Cong, PDP owe an explanation to the nation, he said
