Srinagar: Police on Saturday said that it has solved a blind murder case by arresting four accused for being involved in the commission of crime in Baramulla on Saturday.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar Police said that on 2nd August this year Police Post Palhallan recovered unknown dead body under the Khambiyar-Andergam Bridge, adding therein that the body was later identified as Nasir Ahmad Ganaie R/o of Pousnag Kreeri. Police in its statement further said that a police team led by SDPO Pattan DSP Shahjahan assisted by SHO Pattan and InCharge Police Post Palhallan, carried out a sustained interrogation, examination of evidences and analysis of technical data and identified four accused as Gh Mohi Ud DinGanie S/o Late Gh Nabi, Fatima Begum W/o Gh Mohi Ud Din Ganie, Rubeena BanoD/o Gh Mohi Ud Din Ganie, Aadil Ahmad Ganie S/o Gh Mohi Ud Din, all residents of GundbalPattan, Baramulla.
Stating that the said accused hatched a conspiracy to kill the victim on August 1, this year and strangulated him to death using a Dupatta and disposed off the body under the bridge late, Police in the concluding para of its above quoted statement said that all the accused were arrested and are currently under police custody, adding therein that the investigating officers also recovered the weapon of offense (Dupatta) and other vital evidences.
