Camp for distribution of Assistive Aids & Appliances among Divyangjans (PWDs) under ADIP held at B’gam

Budgam : The camp for free distribution of Aids and Assistive devices under ADIP scheme of Govt. of India was organized at four venues of seven blocks of Budgam District from July 03 to July 06.
The camp was organised by Artificial Limbs Manufacturing Corporation of India (ALIMCO), a PSU working under the aegis Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India in close association with District Social Welfare office, Budgam.
The distribution camp was graced by Deputy Commissioner (DC) Budgam, Akshay Labroo and was successfully conducted in collaboration with District Administration, Budgam, DSWO, all TSWOs, Kanika Mehta (Junior Manager- Marketing) & Kusum Devi (P&O) from ALIMCO Mohali Office.
In this camp, a total of 372 Aids & Assistive devices of different categories like Motorized Tricycle–29, Wheelchair–30, Tricycle-5, Hearing Aids–128, Smart Phone-02, Sugamya Cane–22 Braille kit–20, ADL kit–16, Crutches –22, Walking stick–20, CP Chair-15, Rollator-05 were distributed among 221 pre-identified beneficiaries.
The distributed Aids & Appliances valued at Rs. 25.71 Lakhs.
Identified beneficiaries were registered during the assessment camps conducted by ALIMCO at seven blocks of the district w.e.f 14 October, 2023 to 21 October, 2023.
Meanwhile, similar types of camp will be conducted regularly for those who were not covered during the above distribution camp.
