Srinagar : Director of School Education Kashmir (DSEK) Wednesday said it will take a call on extension of summer vacation in accordance with the weather advisory.
The director on the sidelines of an event told reporters here “We are observing the ground and weather conditions; we are also in contact with the MeT department. We will take a call on this in accordance with the weather advisory.”
DSEK said that the department was providing free education as per the Right to Education (RTE) Act. “No money is being charged from students or parents.”
On asking about the admission process, the director said that the admissions are being done on merit basis and catchment area.
About the miscellaneous charges, DSEK said, “We have recently conducted a meeting on this and all the related issues. FFRC has received many such complaints and we are analyzing it.”
