2-Drug Smugglers Booked Under Pit-Ndps Act In Sopore: Police

Srinagar : Police on Friday said that it has booked two drug smugglers under PIT-NDPS Act in Sopore after obtaining orders from the competent authority.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar Police said that the drug peddlers identified as Nasir Ahmad Siraj S/o Nazir Ahmad Siraj R/o Hanfia Colony Arampora Sopore and Mohammad Nadeem Mir S/o Mohammad Mubarak Mir R/o Behrampora Rafiabad have been booked under PIT NDPS Act and lodged at Central Jail Kot-Balwal, Jammu.
Stating that many cases were registered against the said drug smugglers who did not mend their way and are still involved in drug abuse trade by supplying drugs to the local youth of the Police District Sopore, Police in the concluding para of its above quoted said that people of the area have widely appreciated the role played by it in taking action against drug smugglers, reiterating therein its commitment to take strict actions against such criminals as per the law.
