Srinagar : Police on Wednesday said that it has arrested a drug peddler in Baramulla and also recovered psychotropic substance from his possession.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar Police said that a police party of Police Post Babareshi at a checkpoint established at Shrunz Crossing, intercepted a suspect identified as Sameer Ahmad Dar S/o Abdul Hamid R/o Janbazpora Baramulla and during search recovered 48 capsules of SpasmoProxyvon-Plus from the possession of the said who arrested and shifted to Police Station Tangmarg where he remains in custody.
Stating that a case under relevant sections of law was registered at Police Station Tangmarg besides initiating further investigation, Police in the concluding para of its above quoted statement appealed people to cooperate with it in curbing the menace of drugs from the society.
