Srinagar: The CEO, Srinagar Smart City Ltd (SSCL), Dr. Owais Ahmed Thursday conducted a detailed inspection of the Jehangir Chowk Junction evaluating the ongoing construction efforts and the current status of the project.
During the site visit, the CEO carefully reviewed the project blueprints of the Jehangir Chowk Junction stressing the significance of adhering to project timelines and upholding high-quality standards to facilitate the effective transformation of the Junction.
Recognizing the critical importance of the Junction for both traffic flow and pedestrian movement, the CEO instructed the Chief Engineer of SSCL to implement double-shift work to expedite the project’s completion.
This proactive measure is geared towards ensuring the timely delivery of the project and facilitating smooth traffic circulation and pedestrian access at Jehangir Chowk.
The CEO committed to have macadamization on the road surface at Jehangir Chowk (Junction) within a week’s time, subject to favourable weather conditions. Furthermore, the CEO committed that the whole project will be completed within the stipulated time frame.
The CEO was accompanied by Chief Engineer SSCL, Executive Engineers, Assistant Executive Engineers, senior officials from SMC, SSCL and line departments.
