Reasi: District Administration Reasi, under the guidance of District Election Officer (DEO), VisheshMahajan, on Saturday organised SVEEP (Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation) event on the world’s Highest Railway Bridge, Bakkal here.
The event aimed to enlighten the electorate about forthcoming LokSabha Elections 2024, saw enthusiastic participation from students, teachers, officers and officials.
The primary objective of the programme was to educate and empower new voters about electoral process, emphasising the importance of active participation in the democratic process by exercising their valuable voting rights. Through informative sessions, participants were provided deeper understanding of democratic values and civic responsibilities.
As part of the event, a SVEEP pledge was administered, symbolizing a collective commitment towards upholding democratic principles and ensuring the exercise of voting rights by all eligible citizens.
