Illegal property of drug peddler worth lacs attached in Kulgam: Police

Srinagar: Police on Tuesday attached property (Single story residential house) worth approx. Rs. 1,014,894, measuring 976.76 Sq. ft belonging to notorious drug peddler namely Ghulam Mohammad Mir Gull Kasai S/o Mohd Abdullah Mir resident of Bugam, Kulgam.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar Police said that the action was taken under sections 68-E read with 68-F (1) of NDPS Act of 1985 & is linked with case FIR No. 166/2015 U/S 8/15 of NDPS act & 77/2022 U/S 8/15 of NDPS Act of PS Kulgam.
Stating that the property was illegally acquired property during the course of investigation/enquiry conducted by Kulgam Police, the Police in it’s statement further said that the property was prima facie acquired from illicit trafficking of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances by the said drug peddler. In the concluding para of it’s above quoted statement police reaffirmed its commitment to combat the drug menace.
