Srinagar : Apni Party President Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari on Saturday, undertook an extensive foot tour in Srinagar’s Chanapora constituency, engaging directly with residents to understand their problems and grievances firsthand.
During the hours-long tour into the various areas across the constituency, the Apni Party President met people — men and women; elderly and young — and gave patient hearing to them. The residents shared their ideas and aspirations for the development of the constituency with the Apni Party President, who assured them that when the party gains a public mandate to serve, it will waste no time in addressing their issues and taking this constituency to new heights of prosperity and development.
Speaking at various locations Altaf Bukhari said, “Unlike the traditional political parties and their leaders, whom you have trusted all these years and decades, Apni Party upholds the principles of truthfulness in politics. We are committed to the Almighty that we will never lie or mislead our people for our political gains. That is why we refrain from resorting to emotional sloganeering or making empty promises. We say only what we believe we can accomplish. When we say that the Apni Party is dedicated to fostering peace, prosperity, and development in Jammu and Kashmir, we truly believe that we can uphold this commitment. I assure you that when we receive a public mandate to serve the people, we will not waste any time implementing our pro-people agenda and policies.”
He added, “I assure you that the Apni Party has a team of seasoned leaders who possess both the will and potential to change the scenario for the better. We are committed to ensuring a brighter future for Jammu and Kashmir.”
Cautioning people not to fall prey to the misleading slogans of traditional parties and their leaders, Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari said, “Wise people don’t get deceived again and again by the same deceitful individuals, tactics, or situations. Over the past seven decades, traditional parties have beguiled you with emotional slogans such as ‘Raishumari,’ ‘Autonomy,’ self-rule, and so on. They have always deceived and misled you through deceptive and emotional sloganeering to gain power and remain in power. Earlier they used to come to you to seek your votes saying that they would protect Articles 370 and 35A.”
He went on to say, “Now, since these articles stand abrogated, these shameless politicians are preparing to come to you again, this time with yet another false promise to reinstate these abrogated articles. Don’t trust them, and don’t fall prey to their political gimmickry again. Tell them that enough is enough. Use your vote wisely this time.” He urged people to “Join hands with the Apni Party to enable it to implement its people-friendly agenda, which aims to ensure permanent peace, enduring prosperity, and equitable development across Jammu and Kashmir.”
