ADDC Shopian chairs Mega Block Diwas at Gagran, Shopian, Interacts with the people, listens them patiently

Shopian : The Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Shopian, Dr. Nasir Ahmed Lone on Wednesday chaired a mega Block Diwas at block Gagran Shopian under Public outreach initiative of the government, aimed to take stock of public grievances besides assessing development activities being executed in the district.
The Block Diwas witnessed an overwhelming response from the people.
During the programme, ADDC had extensive interaction with the participants who apprised him of their issues relating their respective areas. He also sought feedback from them on implementation of government schemes in their areas while enquiring about the impact of these initiatives on their lives.
Highlighting the importance of Block Diwas, Dr Nasir said that these public outreach programmes act as a bridge between the administration and the people, paving the way for enhanced growth and development in the district.
The issues raised by the people of Reshnagri and Shopian during the programme include, construction of drains and by-lanes, installation of solar lights, playground at Devpora, construction of irrigation Khuls and segregation sheds and other issues of public importance etc.
ADDC, while responding to the issues raised by the public, assured that all the issues will be taken up with the concerned authorities for an early redressal.
He said that Shopian district is witnessing development and progress at a fast speed and hoped that it will also become a top performing district not only in J&K but in the entire country.
ADDC affirmed that all public inputs from the block diwas would be recorded and integrated into actionable plans.
Assistant Commissioner, Development, BDO Shopian, BDO Ramnagri, officers and officials of Rural Development Department and other line departments, besides, people in large numbers participated in the said block diwas.
