Srinagar: An earthquake of mild intensity jolted Kashmir valley on Monday around 9:35 pm, officials said.
The magnitude of the earthquake was measured on the Richter scale 5.2 with the epicenter at latitude 35.45 in the north and longitude 74.93 in the east.
The tremors were felt in Srinagar and other parts of the Kashmir valley for a few seconds.
The tremors were felt at 9.35 pm in the 10km depth north of Ladakh region.
There was no report of loss of life or damage to property.
